Dance At Dawn Farms Eventing

Riding lessons, horsemanship lessons, and horse training for south central PA.

Owner/Trainer Kayla Robinson and Crazy Wild Bill

Riding Lessons

We offer riding lessons to riders of ages 10 and up, and offer horse training to those in the south central PA area. You can come to us and take lessons on our horses, haul your horse in for lessons, or we will travel to you to teach at your farm! Our farm has a large 100′ x 60′ lighted outdoor arena with stone dust footing and a fair amount of space for trailer parking for haul in students. Over time we will be adding small cross country jumps around our property as well.

We offer a fun and laid back environment with an incredibly supportive trainer. We focus on safe riding with a very strong focus on good horsemanship as well. When weather prevents riding we do unmounted activities to help our students learn more about horses in general or do exercises to help them gain strength and flexibility to help improve their riding.

Our owner and trainer Kayla Robinson specializes in Eventing with a strong focus on classical dressage basics and is an active USEA and USEF member who regularly competes in both recognized and unrecognized events. Currently, she has three personal show mounts and three lesson horses of varying skill sets and temperaments to give students a well rounded riding education. Students riding with her will also have the opportunity to do off farm schooling, attend jumper shows, dressage shows, and horse trials based on their current skill and experience level. For more information on riding lessons please out our Riding Lessons pages.

Horse Training & Boarding

Our owner/trainer Kayla offers horse training both on farm and is available for travel training sessions around the south central PA area. She has trained under a few local trainers, and has taken several clinics with other upper level coaches. Her training approach includes some R+ methodologies in conjunction with more traditional classical training techniques.

All horses on the farm currently, including the lesson horses, were started and trained or restarted almost entirely by Kayla. The only exception to this rule is her homebred Tiny Dancer who was started/trained under saddle by Kayla and then sent off to another local trainer to get some additional education while Kayla focused on projects around the farm and keeping her other two horses in shape through the winter. These horses are now all working successfully in our lesson program toting around all levels of riders both at home and at local horse shows. Some have gone up through the Starter level of Eventing with students and are expected to get to Beginner Novice in the near future when our current students are ready for the move up.

While Kayla’s experience is mostly with OTTBs, she has aided in the training of many young warmbloods throughout her riding career as well. She can either help coach you through training your horse, or take the reins herself if you wish. She does not however work with problematic/dangerous behaviors such as rearing or excessive bucking. If your horse is experiencing those behaviors be sure to rule out pain first, and then reach out to a trainer who specializes in dangerous horses/behaviors. Please take a look at our Training page for more information. We do also offer limited boarding openings at our farm either for training or traditional boarding situations. Please reach out for more information.

No hour of life is wasted that is spent in the saddle.
