Riding Lessons

Pricing & Details

We are offering riding lessons to riders ages 10+. Please bear in mind that we follow SafeSport guidelines so children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult unless you’d like to sign the SafeSport One on One training session acceptance form. More information on that can be provided upon request.

On Farm Lessons

Our on farm lessons are all private instruction. We do not offer group lessons except in special circumstances (such as weather issues that would require us to move lessons around for safety reasons), and always confirm with our students before switching from private to group lessons. We have an outdoor riding ring which we utilize for our lessons as long as weather permits. In the event of inclement weather, we will typically switch to an unmounted horsemanship lesson or reschedule as needed. We believe that horsemanship and ground work is just as important as riding, and find that when the weather does not cooperate it is usually a great time to take a step back and check in on our other horsemanship skills. For haul in and travel lessons, we understand that horsemanship may not be something you’re interested in switching to, so we will offer to just reschedule in those cases to a time that would suit you.

In our program we focus on riding safely and having fun. All of our students move at their own pace and we set realistic goals for each individual. We’re extremely laid back here, so if your only goal is to learn how to ride well enough to relax on some trails, we will help you with that! If your goal is to excel in jumping, eventing, or even dressage, we will work hard to make that happen for you too! Our owner and trainer is an eventer, and would love to help others excel in the sport. Her true passion is teaching her students proper riding and helping the horses reach their true potential in whichever discipline they choose to ride in.

Our riding program is a monthly based program and you pay at your first lesson of the month for the total number of lessons you will have in that month. We require a 30 day notice to cancel lessons to allow us time to be sure we can fill the spot or rearrange our schedules accordingly. New students start off in a two to three lesson trial period, where the lesson fee is due at the lesson. If the new student decides to continue and pick a permanent spot on our schedule, we will then switch you to our monthly payment plan. A full list of our policies and information can be provided upon request. Please contact us by email, text message, or Facebook to get a copy to review.

45 Minute Private Lesson on Your Horse – $60

We recommend arriving 15 minutes early to allow you enough time to tack up and give your horse some time to adjust to our farm. If you are late we will still teach you but your lesson will end at it’s originally scheduled end time. Please call, text, or email us to schedule.

Off Farm/Traveling Lessons

We are happy to offer traveling lessons to anyone in the south central PA area. We can come to you at your farm or we can meet you at another local farm that offers schooling (jumping, cross country, etc) to teach you. If we will be meeting you at a schooling farm/location you are required to pay the schooling fees, take care of signing any waivers, and schedule your time slot with that farm as needed. If you’d like a regularly scheduled travel lesson, we would use the same policies as our on farm lessons (30 day notice to cancel, same time slot for the whole month with payment due at your first lesson), but if you are just seeking to have a travel lesson as needed, we can offer that as well! Please call, text, or email us to schedule.
