FAQ

Q: Do you require students to provide their own helmets and riding gear?

A: Yes. We do this for safety reasons and for health concerns. Shared helmets can be contaminated with things like lice and bacteria which could cause a health concern for students. Shared helmets also are not generally fitted well to a student’s head, and could pose a safety risk. Additionally, after every fall a helmet is supposed to be replaced. While falls are relatively infrequent, this is still an expense we choose not to take on in order to try to keep our lesson prices as affordable as possible for our students.

Q: Do you offer horse camps?

A: At this time we do not offer any horse camps at our farm. We follow SafeSport guidelines very strictly as our owner is an active professional rider/competitor and is bound by those rules. We do not have any paid staff, and therefore do not have the required number of adults to have children here without their parent’s supervision. If we expand in the future and add an assistant trainer, we may offer camps at that time.

Q: Do you offer lesson packages to give as gifts?

A: We can do pre-paid bundles of lessons as our schedule will allow for it, however if we do this it is a nonrefundable item and will typically have a 60 day expiration so that it is easier for us to keep track of. Please reach out to discuss and schedule if this is something you’re looking for.

Q: Do you have any horses for lease?

A: We may offer partial leases or full leases on our former lesson horses if they do not sell. Please reach out to discuss. All leases are ON FARM ONLY.

Q: Do you offer farm sitting or horse sitting to other farms in the area?

A: Yes we do. Pricing is based on distance and the amount of time it would take to take care of your crew. Please reach out to discuss. We do a “by the visit” type of pricing. Our owner/trainer is well equipped to handle most minor emergencies and has been doing horse sitting for the last 15 years or so to a handful of small farms. References are available upon request.

Q: Do you offer boarding?

A: No, we do not currently offer boarding. We’ve just relocated to KY at the end of 2024 and are still getting ourselves set up at our new location. Board is something we are hoping to offer in the next 2-5 years though. Please reach out if you’d like to be on our list for when that becomes a possibility.

Q: Do you require students to go to horse shows?

A: We do not require students to go to horse shows. We focus on horsemanship, safe riding, and fun first and foremost. If you are interested in showing, we will coach you at a show, but we will never make showing a requirement for any of our clients.

Q: Do you offer “pony parties” or would you bring the animals to my house for a party?

A: We do not do pony parties (we don’t have ponies), and we do not trailer the horses out for special events. Any special event booked with us will be held at our farm for the safety of everyone involved.
